The Grape

One of the most important and ancient varietals in the Bordeaux region, Cabernet Franc is showing that it can also thrive in the higher altitude of Mendoza, Argentina. This fragrant and well-structured parent of Cabernet Sauvignon is less herbaceous and more berry, less pale and more intense than your Grandpa’s Cab Franc.

“Ripe, robust berry and prune aromas show a strong oak component, while this feels flush and powerful, but balanced. Raisiny berry, chocolate and oak flavors play out on a finish with prune notes. This is mostly about ripe fruit character and richness, not nuance.”
